A gimnáziumot Székelykeresztúron és Kolozsvárt végezte, az egyetemet és a kereskedelmi akadémiát Kolozsvárt. Nagyajtán, Kolozsvárt, Brassóban volt ügyvéd. Az *Erdővidék* című lap főszerkesztője (1903–08); 1920-ban ő alapította az Unitárius Irodalmi Társaságot, amelynek elnöke lett; a Keresztény Magvető egyik szerkesztője (1924–28), egy ülésszakon át a román szenátus tagja.
