# Mikó Bálint Csíkzsögöd, 1840. június 5.- Budapest, 1919. szeptember 12. *országgyűlési képviselő, Csík vármegye főispánja, iskolaépítő* Általános iskolai tanulmányait Csíksomlyón, a ferences szerzetesek által fenntartott iskolában végezte, majd jogot tanult Marosvásárhelyen. 1876-ban Csíkszereda országgyűlési képviselőjévé választották. 1882-1905 között Csíkvármegye főispánja, 1883-tól harminchat éven át a csíksomlyói gimnázium világi gondnoka volt. Az új, csíkszeredai gimnázium felépítésére alakult bizottság elnöke volt. ## Emlékezete Mikó Bálint, Csík vármegye főispánja szobrát, Sárpátki Zoltán csíkszeredai szobrászművész alkotását 2011 június 5-én avatják fel a csíkszeredai Márton Áron Főgimnázium főbejárata előtti, parkosított téren. ## Forrás Neves Csíkiak.
