# Várfalvi Nagy János

Várfalva, 1847. május 30. – Kolozsvár, 1882. szeptember 22.

*jogász, jog- és államtudományi doktor, a kolozsvári egyetemi tanács jegyzője, újságíró, történetíró*

A kolozsvári egyetemen szerzett oklevelet. Kolozsvár törvényhatósági bizottságának tagja és az unitárius egyház tanácsosa is volt. 1870-től 1881-ig szerkesztője, 1880. március 9-től 1881. január 22-ig főszerkesztője volt a kolozsvári Magyar Polgár című lapnak. A Keresztény Magvetőneknek 1871-től volt munkatársa. Történelmi tanulmányokat is írt, szkíta-hun eredetet tartotta, 1882. szeptember 22-én harmincöt évesen holtan találják.
