# Potyó Ferenc Csíkszentmárton, 1777. szeptember 8. - Nagyboldogasszony, 1862. január 7. *felcsíki és gyergyói főesperes, teológiai tanár* Pappá 1812-ben szentelik, káplán Marosvásárhelyen, majd 1816-tól Csíkszentgyörgyön. 1817-től Gyulafehérváron a katolikus papnevelde szentírástudományának teológiai tanára, a szegények ügyvédje és számvevő. 1828-tól Nagyszebenben tanár, 1832-től Kapnikbányán plébános és esperes. 1835-től Nagyágon, majd Nagyboldogasszonyon plébános. 1835-től felcsíki és gyergyói esperes. A felcsíki esperes, Potyó Ferenc nem tanúsít érdeklődést az 1848-ban bekövetkezett változások iránt, a Kolozsváron megtartott egyházmegyei zsinatról való távolmaradását tényleges indoklás nélkül jelenti be. ## Munkája * Az Úr vacsorája egy ünnepi beszédben, melyet tartott az úgynevezett Úrnapján.
